Inspiration comes….

inspiration goes…

Long time - no tell. This does not necessarily mean that there has been nothing to write about, but just my inspiration has been channeled somewhere different. My dear readers have kindly reminded me that my motto “consistency is key” was somehow not really reflected in the frequency of my posts. Sorry - it happens. We sometimes get diverted, or need to figure out what and where to invest more energy. Actually to be honest, it is all about balance.

I balanced my need for handbags in Tarviso today. My favourite booth No.27 at the leather-market was just the way I left it. The tiny Italian lady who speaks faster than anyone thinks, the shelves full of colorful, beautiful handbags which covers most women’s needs  and the best thing was that my name could be found (if you looked really carefully) on several of them.  I adore the way she calculated the % discount I get - 20% here, 20% there and the bottom line is that nobody knows what the original price was… But I feel slightly content fulfilled after that exercise though, no matter percentages.

Content is another word I have mixed feelings about - content… content.. has to me something not great and not bad about it. Content is mediocre, something in between and is used when we are not truly happy about something, but it is OK. It is so realistic and so cold… Usually I leave the happy, colorful, fluffy pictures to my marketing friends, but I would want to paint “content” a bit more pink and add some fur to it to make it more approachable as a word.

Actually there are some more words I would want to do something about but I will leave to a later project.

Oh wait - I will attack the “reality” word as well as a dear friend inspired me today. What about reality? Try and google it - you will get 375 million hits… Let’s say 10% of them had a different opinion about what reality was, we would still have 37.5 million realities to sort out if we needed the ultimate answer. Is reality subjective? Probably.. Can I build my own reality? Definitely… Then of course it depends, if the majority of people around you, share your view of reality, otherwise it can quickly turn ugly and you might end up in a white straitjacket.
