… wow,  painting the kitchen has been finalized! Started off early this morning and 10 minutes ago we moved back the kitchen table to its original position . The result is great, at least in the kitchen, the upper part of my body went numb early this afternoon during painting the ceiling and hasn’t come back to life after that. Had a dear friend guiding me over the phone how to put the kitchen-lamp back, fitting the cables correctly, - blue to blue, brown to whatever color is left and don’t fit the green/yellow one at all… Thank God I have friends which don’t mind me asking stupid questions and know their way with electricity… Thanks Christian, without you I would be sitting in the dark writing this.

The state of me makes you wonder if any paint went on the walls at all and have been banned all together to the veranda by the Elfe senior, making it pretty clear that I was not welcome close to any fabric or kitchen utilities and should stay out until the paint in my hair, clothes and face had dried… I believe it will take a while. Took my wine and left, as there was no room for protests.

Anyway, I am now looking forward to  get a new fireplace completing the kitchen project, as this is the heart of the house and we have solved many world problems in here, had a lot of good food and enjoyed many laughs and stories around this table.

I will now return to another glass of wine, clean up,  position myself comfortable in the sofa and re-arrange the project plan for the staircase make-over due this winter…

So long - the gain is worth the pain
