… food for the hungry and golf courses for playing golf

… Moosburg - Pörtschach Golf Course - ranked as one of the most beautiful golf-courses in Carinthia, an 18 hole par 72 and a 9-hole par 35 course on 27 fairways located above the Wörthersee. Please see more info on the WEBsite, as I have realized that Golf is not one of my strengths, however friends who have played enjoyed it greatly and are coming back for more. Golf could have however, been a natural sport to me, as my father was a passionate golf player. This perspective was unfortunately scattered as my father told me at my age of 8, when I joined him to play - that I had no talent whatsoever… (after I had thrown the golf-club cross the driving-range…several times) and that was the end of my so promising golf career. So from then on, I have seen golf only from a safe distance, to my fathers content and most probably to a lot of other players.

One of my passions in life is food. I would try out most anything. To my great distress, the bathroom scale has not been in favor to my great hobby, however I can gladly recommend several good restaurants in the area. Fruhmann - with the great meat of any kind, Joanig - with the traditional Austrian food, Schloss Leonstain preparing fantastic menus from local farmers or a great pizza and other Italian specialties from the next door neighbours Ciao Ciao.

I will now tend to the cooking, which is not that exciting due to the hint the scale gave me earlier. All that will be served is a zero point tomato soup, dry bread and water this evening.
