Kicking off the celebration with a BBQ at the Wienerroither Beachcafé, followed by a concert at the lake and the party of the 1000 lights - Marienschiffsprozession. At 11. pm a huge firework finalizes the evening, which we usually can see from the balconies facing the lake.

The day started off rather grey, but after lunch the sky cleared and the day turned out well! Weather should according to those who know, stay great over the weekend.

Where has the summer gone? We are already mid August and of course we are blessed with nice weather usually through to end of September, but June and July went very quickly and have been very busy. [1] Wörthersee festspiele are still running for some more nights. End of August the [2] Altstadtzauber (Magic nights) in Klagenfurt are due, then comes the [3] Harley Davidson week and the [4] Pink Lake event, also we should not forget the Brahms competition beginning of September.
